This is the first game I made. Hope you have as much fun playing it as I had making it

Description

You are a runaway bride, trying to run away from the Bridemare!

This game was made for the pico-8 1k jam 2023. It's a bit more than1k though.

Controls

--keyboard

left, right to move

up to climb in some areas

X to jump and Z to Dash

(If you spam dash, the game will punish you! Nothing is a glitch. Everything is planned. :) )

Joystick

Analog stick and D-pad for moving left & right

❎ to jump and 🅾️ to dash

Will you be able to escape the nightmare in the minimum time or will you succumb to the Bridemare and go truly mad?

-Still need to add a menu though :D

Install instructions

It is a .p8.png file. You can open and play it on the Pico-8 platform. Either the web ( educational one ) or the paid application version.

For web based -

1. Download the file and keep it in any folder e.g Downloads

3. Type 'load' in the command line and press enter.

4. A Dialog box will open. Select the Downloaded file.

5. Once the editor opens, Press Ctrl+R or type 'Run' in the command line.

6. Game will start. Enjoy!
